James Smith joined LLCP in 2026 and currently serves as a Managing Director of the Investment Management team. In this capacity he is responsible for origination of new investment opportunities, investment due diligence, transaction execution and portfolio management.

Prior to joining LLCP, James was a Director with Advent International, a global private equity firm, where he was responsible for the origination, evaluation and execution of new investment opportunities primarily in the Business Services sector. Prior to that, James was a management consultant at Bain & Company. He began his career within the WPP Group in London. James holds a BA in Classics from Oxford University.
