Resolution Economics, LLC (“Resolution Economics” or “ResEcon”) announced today that it has acquired the Affirmative Action Plan (“AAP”), DE&I, Pay Equity, and related training services (“the acquired practice groups”) of Biddle Consulting Group (“Biddle”). Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The acquired practice groups of Biddle are market leaders in Equal Employment Opportunity (“EEO”) consulting, litigation support, and AAP outsourcing and software, and further build out the specialized services of the Berkshire Division of ResEcon. Patrick Nooren, Ph.D., will continue to lead the acquired practice groups which are headquartered in Folsom, California. The pre-employment testing services of Biddle operating under the name TestGenius were not part of the acquisition.

Ali Saad, Managing Partner at ResEcon, said, “We are incredibly excited to welcome these AAP and associated practice groups to ResEcon and our Berkshire Division. As part of Biddle, these practices have been known for their consistent, high-quality and customized client offerings. They are highly complementary to and further enhance the scope and scale of our consulting offerings related to labor and employment.” Matthew Rich, Partner at LLCP, added, “Patrick and his team have built an incredible business with a stellar market reputation. This combination furthers our goal of being the market leader in AAP consulting services and a one-stop, best-of- breed advisor for all labor and employment matters facing our clients.”

“We are delighted to join Resolution Economics, with which we share a common vision for the future of our combined business,” said Dr. Nooren. “I have worked in the AAP compliance space alongside Berkshire for many years and have always thought of the business as being very similar to ours in terms of dedication to quality and professionalism. Now that we have joined forces, we will benefit from ResEcon’s teams of experts. These new resources will significantly enhance our ability to serve the needs of our clients.”

Resolution Economics and the acquired practice groups are well established in the litigation support field and have professionals who have consulted or testified as experts in hundreds of state and federal labor and employment wage and hour and discrimination matters. The acquired practice groups will also expand the ResEcon/Berkshire team of Industrial-Organizational Psychologists with advanced degrees.

“I’ve respected our new colleagues’ work in the AAP compliance world for many years and look forward to partnering with them,” said Beth Ronnenburg, President of the Berkshire Division of ResEcon. “The acquisition of these practice groups will allow us to further innovate and grow our high-quality client services to even more companies in need of AAP and a wide variety of highly refined workforce analytics services.”

Resolution Economics is a portfolio company of LLCP Lower Middle Market Fund II, L.P.

Honigman LLP acted as legal counsel to LLCP and ResEcon on the transaction.
